Spider Baby is a 1960s American black comedy horror film; about an inbred family with a genetic disorder that causes them to regress mentally and physically from puberty; their guardian has kept them a secret, but when distant relatives arrive to claim the isolated property, murder and mayhem follow; the theme song, sung by Chaney, is a parody of Monster Mash (the 1962 novelty song by Bobby "Boris" Pickett); shot in 1964, its release was delayed due to the producer's bankruptcy; inspired a 2004 stage musical
