Pixote, 1981


Pixote is a 1980s Brazilian Portuguese/foreign-language social realist crime drama film; about a glue sniffing juvenile delinquent boy, sent to a prison with sadistic guards; he escapes with gay friends, living on the streets of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro dealing drugs, pimping for a prostitute and robbing her clients; shot in documentary style with amateur actors (the lead was later killed by police at age 19)
